Waterline

The waterline is a term used in the beauty industry to refer to the area between the lower lashes and the eye itself. This area is often referred to as the lower waterline or inner rim. The waterline can be a great way to define the eyes and make them appear brighter and more awake. There are several ways to enhance the waterline, with the most common method being the use of pencil liners. A waterproof or long-wearing pencil liner is recommended for this area since it is in direct contact with the eye’s moisture. This will help prevent the liner from smudging or wearing off throughout the day.

To apply liner to the waterline, gently pull down the lower lash line with one hand or the back of a makeup brush to expose the waterline, then carefully apply the liner along the inner rim of the lower eyelid. It’s essential to be gentle when applying the liner, as this area is sensitive and delicate. In addition to pencil liners, there are also gel liners and kohl liners that can be used to enhance the waterline. Gel liners are great for creating a more intense and long-lasting look, while kohl liners are often used for a softer, smokier effect. Another way to enhance the waterline is by using a white or nude-colored eyeliner. This technique helps give the illusion of larger eyes.
