Dolce&Gabbana Devotion Eau De Parfum Katy Perry

#NewAtParcos: Dolce&Gabbana Devotion

Sicilian emotions wrapped in contemporary style, there’s something about Dolce&Gabbana that seamlessly brings together the old with the new. Being the epitome of Italian luxury and glamour, Dolce&Gabbana’s journey started off as a successful fashion house in 1982 in Italy. Ten years later, the brand forayed into fragrances—and there was no turning back. Its debut perfume, Dolce&Gabbana Pour Homme was launched alongside the men’s collection for that season, which was then followed up with its feminine counterpart, Dolce&Gabbana Pour Femme. Retaining the essence of Italian culture, vibrant tones, and the embracing freshness of the Mediterranean air, the label is now also synonymous with some of the world’s most-loved and cult fragrances. Breathing life into that Italian romance, Dolce&Gabbana’s latest launch Devotion is passion and love personified. A gourmand fragrance that is full of contrasts, Devotion Eau De Parfum, uses Master Perfumer Olivier Cresp’s incredible artistry to narrate a story that exudes romance, gratitude, and a zest for life through a fragrance that is energetic yet sexy.

The Story Of Dolce&Gabbana Devotion

For Dolce&Gabbana, Devotion is an emotion. The theme of the fragrance centres around the fashion collection of the same name. It exudes sexiness, femininity, and an aura that can only be associated with undying passion and fire. Drawing inspiration from the Fiascanaro panettone dessert served after a dinner at the Dolce&Gabbana’s Martini Bar, Devotion uses the various flavours to create this gorgeous fragrance that is off beat, enticing, and oh-so-embracing, from the first whiff itself.

Fun fact: Panettone was created during the Renaissance period and legend goes that it was a last minute dessert put together for a Christmas banquet held by the Duke of Milan. The cook, Toni, served a raisin and candied filled brioche and called it ‘il pan di Toni’. The other story claims that the inventor of Panettone was actually a nobleman who made the decadent bread to win over the daughter of a baker named Toni. Nonetheless, this desert soon became a regional traditional claim that was loved across the globe. Likewise, Olivier Cresp brings together that gourmet richnesss of the desert through sweet and fruity notes, paired with a zesty twist in Devotion.

The Packaging – Dolce&Gabbana Devotion

Dolce&Gabbana Devotion reinvents and celebrates the Sicilian Catholic cultural heritage through packaging that feels and looks royal in every sense. The clear glass bottle brings Italian tradition forward through elements like the Sacred Heart (Sacro Cuore) seal, a symbol of love that is also reflective of the amalgamation of notes present in the perfume. This Sacro Cuore can be found across the label’s Devotion collection, including the beautiful Devotion bag.

The Notes – Dolce&Gabbana Devotion

This bright gourmand fragrance is a first of its kind for the label. A playful dance of contrasting notes, the fragrance opens up to top notes of candied citrus, moves into its heart notes of orange blossom, and finally settles into sweet and warm base notes of vanilla. The brand describes it as complex yet approachable, celebrating joy in the most carefree Italian spirit one can come across.

What’s The Hype

A refreshing burst of candied lemon and ginger tea, sweet and floral orange blossom, and warm and sensual vanilla makes Devotion an unorthodox gourmand choice that instantly embraces your senses. Captivating that journey through the sun-kissed roads of Italy, this fragrance is an amalgamation of charm, sophistication, femininity, and fierceness.
